The brackets used to install the engine in the chassis of the 1998 F-car are removed at the factory. To avoid component damage when lifting the engine, special shaped brackets are required. Two brackets are attached to the cylinder heads with bolts included with the tool. One is attached to the front left; the other at the right rear of the engine. A jib crane and chains are hooked into the brackets lifting eyes. A lifting bridle is recommended to assure no damage occurs to the intake manifold and the eight separate coils mounted to the valve covers.
