The pilot bearing has been updated on all inline engine applications. If service requires removing the pilot bearing, it must be drawn evenly out of the crankshaft. GM-43276 has an outer puller that engages the inside diameter of the pilot bearing, and a forcing screw that passes through this body to act against the back of the crankshaft bore. The body of GM-43276 is held, and the forcing screw is tightened to draw the bearing out.
