GM-52079-10 is the adapter used with the GM-52079 Coolant System Fill Tool for efficient air-free filling of CAC vehicle coolant systems. GE‑52079 and GE‑52079-10 can be used for any coolant system that utilizes a Jiffy-tite 5/8” quick connect fitting, but it is essential when filling a supercharger or turbocharger cooling system without an overflow/separator, so all the air can be purged out of the system. The Adapter is plugged into the vehicle coolant system port access connector. The inlet and output hoses on the GM-52079 Fill Tool are connected to the GE‑52079‑10 Adapter, and the GM-52079 reservoir is filled with coolant.
The coolant is circulated using the engine or auxiliary coolant pump. As coolant circulates, it flows into the tool’s clear reservoir, and any air bubbles are released from the coolant and exit at the top of the tool through a shut-off valve. As coolant enters the system and empties the reservoir, more coolant can be added without introducing air into the system. Using this adapter with the GM-52079 Fill Tool eliminates the time spent manually filling, running, and “burping” air out of a system.
