Once the camshaft covers are removed, tool GM-48383 is then installed to retain the camshafts in their proper orientation. The timing chain and its position relative to the camshaft position actuators are marked to ensure correct reassembly. GM-48313 is then installed, allowing for the removal of the camshaft actuators while maintaining proper camshaft position timing.
