The piston wrist pin is full-floating and retained at each end with a clip in the bore. GM-46745 contains two sizes of pilots, and pilots into the wrist pin to grasp the retaining clip for removal or installation. Unapproved methods can scratch the piston or damage the clip, potentially resulting in premature engine failure.
