During valve service with the cylinder head removed, GM-46119 is used with GM-8062 Valve Spring Compressor to compress the valve spring. The sides of GM-46119 are open, allowing access to the valve spring retainers. Once the retainers are removed, GM-8062 is opened, allowing the spring, cap, and seal to be serviced. To install, GM-46119 and GM-8062 compress the valve spring and cap over the seal and valve, allowing the retainers to be installed.
