The tool is used for the full system exhaust leak test on the Duramax Diesel (LGH/LML) engine. When the Diesel Exhaust Catalyst (DOC) is separated from the Turbo Exhaust Inlet Pipe, the GM-46091-15A is placed on the inlet pipe and secured with the exhaust clamp at which point, regulated shop air is applied to the connection on the tool and the vehicle induction and exhaust system is checked for leaks.
