GM-50031 is used in conjunction with any C-style valve spring compressor, such as GM-8062, to service valve assemblies with the head removed from the vehicle. GM-50031 attaches to the valve spring compressor and is applied against the valve retainer to compress the spring, allowing access to the valve retainers. GM-50031 is used for both the removal and installation of the valve keepers.
