The engine and transmission are removed from the bottom of the vehicle when service is required. Current methods for removing powertrain components cannot be applied to the 2.0L-T engine in the Cadillac XT4 due to the engine's design and the materials used. EN‑52055-150 is a single adapter designed to be used with the GM-52200 Propulsion System Lift Table.
GM-52055-150, along with additional mounting adapters from GM-52055 (sold separately), allows the engine and transmission to be mounted onto GM-52200 for removal and installation from the vehicle, and supports them separately if they need to be separated using the sliding section of GM-52200.
When used together, the adapters included in GM-52055 and GM-52055-150 enable the new 2.0L-T and 9-speed transmission to be securely mounted to GM-52200. Failure to use GM-52055, GM-52055‑150 and GM-52200 on this and future GM vehicles will result in component damage.
