Certain engine and transmission data must be downloaded and recorded before performing major repairs on the engine or transmission of the LCF MD truck. The MMU cable is used to interface with the vehicle's control module to download the required information before repairs and then to verify the module's calibration after repair. The connector for the MMU cable is difficult to access, located behind the dashboard, and the Yazaki connector features an engagement mechanism that must be released to remove the MMU cable from the connector. The MMU cable assembly includes the required USB adapter.
