Vehicle exterior cameras that provide images for navigation display require verification of correct alignment when a camera or video processing module (VPM) is replaced. The GM-51372 Mat has a series of three white squares printed on a 4' x 15' non-glare black polymer material. The Mat is unrolled and accurately positioned either alongside or at the front or rear of the vehicle. The camera focuses on the location of the four corners where the white squares meet the black, and the system software is then calibrated to align the cameras to those locations using GDS2. This is one Mat that is moved around the vehicle, depending on which camera needs calibration. The Mat ships in an exterior carton, along with an internal carton containing an instructional decal, for permanent storage of the Mat.
