GM-51102-50 is a set of four lifting straps with integral hooks used with the GM-51102 Lift Fixture, GM- 51102-10 Lateral Bars and Shackles Kit, GM-51102-20 Eye-Nuts, Washers, and Bolts Hardware Kit, and GM-51102-40 Lifting Strap Kit (two straps) for use in lifting the Bolt EV RESS pack.
Once a pack is lowered from the vehicle using a hydraulic lift table, the GM-51102 Fixture, equipped with bars, shackles, straps, hooks, and attachment hardware, is used to lift the pack off the table and place it in a location where the individual components can be diagnosed and serviced. If the pack is to be completely replaced, it can be lowered into the shipping crate that the replacement pack arrived in once the GM-51102 has removed the new pack from the crate and placed it in a suitable location.
GM-51102 (and all its subcomponents) is designed as a universal lifting tool with application on the Bolt EV battery RESS pack, CT6 Cadillac PHEV RESS pack, and future vehicle RESS packs. Due to the large size and weight of the Bolt EV pack, six lift straps are used. For the CT6 PHEV pack, four straps are used.
