Some of the shift rail bearings and bushings are in a blind hole and are difficult to access. GM-49216 is installed into the bushing or bearing and tightened against the inside of the bearing case. Previously, the Essential GM-45124 Puller Bridge was installed into GM-49216 and used to remove the bearing.
