The rear seal on A460/A465 Aisin transmissions has a high interference fit into the case bore, and is installed deep into the bore. On-vehicle removal is not possible with current pullers. GM-51090 is placed over the output shaft once the park brake flange is removed, and is turned clock-wise to thread itself into the seal body. Once GM-51090 is securely threaded into the seal, its forcing screw is tightened against the output shaft to draw the seal out of its bore. Unapproved methods will damage internal transmission components.
