It is critical that the lip of the piston seal not be damaged as the seal is installed into the piston bore. Any nicks or cuts will affect clutch apply force and transaxle function. GM-47859 allows the 4-5-6 piston seal to slide smoothly over the retaining ring grooves and into the correct position in the 6T70 transaxle.
