GM-48069 is used with an arbor press to compress the low clutch spring and remove the retaining ring for service of the clutch assembly in the 6L50 transmission. It is also used for reassembling the clutch pack to ensure the spring is fully compressed, preventing damage to the low clutch hub when the retaining ring is installed.
