GM-47791-B is required to install the 6T40 transaxle torque converter hub seal without damage to the inner lip edge of the seal. This revised design will install the seal while the turbine shaft is still in the transaxle. The trans has to be removed from the vehicle to perform the service procedure, but the tool eliminates the need for the transaxle to be disassembled for just a seal replacement.
