GM-51617 installs the output shaft seal into the axle housing. The seals used on the 190 mm front axle are a two-piece design, with the outer shell fully bottomed in the housing bore, and the inner shell floating in the outer, until it seats itself on the plug-in shaft. These seals are not the same size as any previously used on GM axles. GM-51617 installs the seal in the correct position without damaging the housing, seal, or internal components. GM-51617 is used with the GM-8092 driver handle.
