GM-50905-3 is an adapter for the GM-50905 Clutch Air Travel Arbor Fixture. GM-50905-3 fits over the GM-50905 Base and seals on the base O-rings. The 13567 clutch pack is set onto GM-50905-3, and the assembly is placed in the counter bore on the bottom plate of the 8L45/8L90 GM-50900 Clutch Travel Support Fixture. The GM-50900 Forcing Screw is turned until the GM-50903 Load Gauge reads the proper load for the clutch pack assembly. This flattens the pack assembly and forces out any air trapped between the discs and backing plates. The GM-8001 Dial Indicator is attached to the clutch hub, and the indicator plunger is positioned on the clutch pack and set to zero. Air at shop pressure is then fed into a port in the GM-50905 Base. The travel dimension shown on the dial indicator is checked and compared to the SI specification. The proper thickness of the selective retaining ring is then installed into the clutch hub to retain the pack disc assembly.

The GM-50905-3 Adapter is not included with the GM-50905 Arbor Fixture or the GM-50900 Clutch Travel Support Fixture.
