GM-52321
consists of GM-52321-1 Protector Cone and GM-52321-2 Pusher. GM-52321‑1 is a
smooth steel tube with a tapered OD that goes over the end of the forward
clutch housing and gradually expands the ring, allowing it to slide over the
forward clutch housing hub.
GM-52321-2 evenly pushes the ring down the protector into its groove on the
shaft. Using a standard snap ring plier could over-expand and twist the ring as it is installed, reducing the ring's retention strength in the hub groove.
GM-52321 ensures this does not occur. |
