A Multi-purpose tool with 3 fully threaded legs with height graduation markings that are adjustable from an OD of 3"" to 7"" to span a variety of clutch pack diameters.
Required to install C45678R / C23468 triple clutch pistons and retaining rings.
Used with the new tool GM-51328 Extension Rod to compress the C1278R clutch piston dam to install the retaining ring.
Also used with GM-50905 for air travel check of clutch packs with GM-50903 Load Gauge.
The clutch pack is secured onto the GM-50905 Clutch Fixture, and the assembly is then placed in the counterbore on the bottom plate of the GM-50900.
The GM-50900 Forcing Screw is turned until the pressure gauge reads the proper load for the clutch pack assembly.
This flattens the pack assembly discs and backing plates.
The GM-8001 Dial Indicator is positioned on the pack and set to zero. Air at shop pressure is then fed into one of two ports in the GM-50905.
The travel dimension shown on the dial indicator is checked and compared to the eSI specification."
