GM-52085 is used to remove the oil pump drive idler gear and bearing assembly from the transmission front support assembly. The tool includes three fully threaded bolts that thread into the gear. Once they contact the front support, each bolt is sequentially rotated 1/4 turn until the gear is pushed off the front support hub.
