CH-45400-100 allows mounting struts with angled coil seats or minimal coils into CH-45400-B or previous strut compressors. The angled coil spring seat can make it difficult to engage the stop on the shock tube, but the included collets are clamped around the shock tube and engage the tube stop above the support body of CH-45400-100.

The slots in the support body allow engagement into the strut compressor arms to ensure that the strut is securely held before the spring is compressed.
